What should you eat during gastritis?


Helicobacter pylori is bacteria that is responsible for the most ulcers and inflammation of the stomach. The bacteria can weaken the protective layer of the stomach, where the digestive juices irritate the sensitive inner surface.

Most people they have this bacterium in themselves but did not get ulcers or gastritis. Consumption of cigarettes, alcohol and coffee increase the risk of ulcers caused by helicobacter pylori.

In addition, the food should be rich in fibers from fresh fruits and flavonoids found in cranberries, celery and onions. Sulforaphane which can be found in broccoli and cauliflower is very useful for helicobacter pylori.

From plants, oregano and thyme are recommended because they can help in reducing the number of bacteria in the intestines. Turmeric stops the development of bacteria and strengthens the immune system. Tea from ginger is recommended for reducing the symptoms of gastritis.

  • Fast food
  • Chocolate
  • Pickled cucumbers
  • Dairy products
  • Alcohol

 

Helicobacter pylori prevents the formation of vitamin B12 in the intestine, leading to improper absorption of nutrients. So if you have one, consult with your doctor to determine if you need supplements containing vitamin B12 and probiotics.
