Honey is one of the healthiest gifts of nature to mankind. Many studies have proven that, and people use it as a medicine for millenniums. Ancient people used to treat diseases and as a treatment for various skin conditions and eye problems. Even today, our grandmothers are recommending it for countless problems. Currently, we have at least two studies that have proven it’s quality. One study was conducted on children that after consuming have noticed soothing of the nighttime cough. The second study was conducted on other children that have a cold. Children who ate two tablespoons of honey 30 minutes before sleep had considerably reduced cough than the others that were not consuming honey.

2. It is good for treating wounds

In numerous studies, the honey has been shown to be an effective treatment of wounds. It is recommended for burns, and according to experts, it should be applied directly on the wound and be covered with gauze. This gauze should be changed on 12-48 hours.

It contains many vitamins and minerals, including niacin, calcium, copper, iron, magnesium, manganese, phosphorus and zinc.

4. Solves the problems with dandruff

In a study conducted on patients suffering from chronic problems with dandruff, participants have applied honey melted in hot water and left it for three hours before they wash the head. In all patients, the itching stopped and peeling skin disappeared within a week.
